Description

Hot Brown Bubble Up Casserole is an easy, comforting baked dish featuring tender turkey, crispy bacon, creamy Alfredo sauce, and buttery biscuits. This casserole combines savory flavors and a cheesy, golden biscuit topping, perfect for a hearty brunch or dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Turkey Mixture

  • 2 cups cooked chopped turkey
  • ½ cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1 (15-oz) jar Alfredo sauce
  • ¾ cup grated parmesan cheese, divided
  • 1 plum or roma tomato, chopped

Biscuit Dough

  • 2 (6-oz) cans refrigerated biscuits (10 total biscuits)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350ºF (175ºC). Lightly spray a 9×13-inch baking pan with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Mix Turkey Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped turkey, cooked and crumbled bacon, Alfredo sauce, ½ cup of grated parmesan cheese, and the chopped tomato. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Prepare Biscuit Pieces: Cut each refrigerated biscuit into 4 pieces to create bite-sized chunks. Add these biscuit pieces into the turkey mixture bowl and stir gently to distribute evenly.
  4. Assemble the Casserole: Pour the combined mixture into the prepared baking pan. Spread out any clumps of biscuit pieces so that they are evenly distributed throughout the pan. Sprinkle the remaining ¼ cup of parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
  5. Bake: Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until the casserole is bubbly and the biscuit pieces are golden brown on top.

Notes

  • You can substitute turkey with cooked chicken if desired.
  • For a healthier version, use reduced-fat Alfredo sauce and low-fat cheese.
  • Make sure biscuits are evenly spread to ensure uniform baking.
  • Let the casserole rest for a few minutes after baking before serving for easier slicing.
