Ingredients
Scale
Chicken and Seasoning
- 1 ½ pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts or chicken thighs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons chicken seasoning
Garlic Parmesan Sauce
- ½ cup garlic parmesan sauce
Optional Garnishes
- Fresh chopped parsley
- Grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken: Cut the chicken into 1-inch pieces. Toss them evenly with the olive oil and chicken seasoning to ensure each piece is well coated with flavor.
- Skewer the chicken: Thread the chicken pieces tightly onto 6-inch bamboo skewers, placing 4 pieces on each skewer. Arrange the skewers so they fit properly in your air fryer basket.
- Air fry the chicken: Place a single layer of skewers in the air fryer basket. Cook at 400°F for 10 minutes. Depending on your air fryer size, you may need to cook in batches—8 skewers fit in a 6-quart air fryer at once.
- Apply the sauce and continue cooking: Open the air fryer, flip the chicken skewers to cook evenly, and brush the tops generously with the garlic parmesan sauce. Air fry for another 2 minutes at 400°F to set the sauce.
- Serve: Remove the skewers from the air fryer and brush again with any remaining garlic parmesan sauce for extra flavor. Optionally, garnish with fresh chopped parsley and grated parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Use either chicken breasts or thighs based on your texture preference; thighs will be juicier.
- Chicken seasoning can be store-bought or homemade with herbs like paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Soak bamboo skewers in water for 20 minutes before cooking to prevent burning in the air fryer.
- Ensure skewers are placed in a single layer for even cooking in the air fryer.
- The garlic parmesan sauce can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator.
