Description

A warm and spicy cocktail combining hot apple cider with the cinnamon kick of Fireball Whiskey, garnished with apple slices, cinnamon sugar, cinnamon sticks, and star anise for a festive and flavorful drink perfect for cozy evenings.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 5 ounces Hot Apple Cider
  • 2 ounces Fireball Whiskey

Optional Garnishes

  • 1 ounce Cool Apple Cider (for glass rim)
  • Cinnamon Sugar (for glass rim)
  • Red Apple Slices
  • Cinnamon Sticks
  • Whole Star Anise

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Glass Rim: If using garnish, pour about 1 ounce of cool apple cider onto a small plate and dip the rim of your glass into it to moisten the edge.
  2. Apply Cinnamon Sugar: Place cinnamon sugar on a separate clean plate, then coat the wet rim of the glass thoroughly with cinnamon sugar for a sweet, spiced rim.
  3. Add Fireball Whiskey: Carefully pour 2 ounces of Fireball Whiskey into the glass, ensuring you do not disrupt the cinnamon sugar rim.
  4. Pour Hot Apple Cider: Add 5 ounces of hot apple cider to the glass. The heat will help mix the drink naturally, blending the spicy whiskey with the cider.
  5. Prepare Apple Garnish: Stack three thinly sliced red apple slices on a cocktail pick, fanning them out. Position the pick so the fan rests slightly off-center on the front edge of the glass.
  6. Final Garnishes: Place a cinnamon stick on the opposite side inside the glass from the apple fan and add a couple of whole star anise pods for aromatic decoration. Serve immediately and enjoy your warm, spicy cider!

Notes

  • Use freshly spiced hot apple cider for best flavor.
  • The cinnamon sugar rim adds an extra touch of sweetness and spice to each sip.
  • Adjust the amount of Fireball Whiskey to taste depending on your preferred strength.
  • Apple slices and star anise not only garnish the drink but also add aroma.
  • This drink is perfect for fall and winter gatherings as a cozy, warming cocktail.
