Description

This Easy Melon Cooler is a refreshing, hydrating drink perfect for warm days. Made with honeydew melon, Persian cucumbers, fresh lime juice and zest, mint, and a pinch of kosher salt, this cooler is blended to a frothy perfection and strained for a smooth, crisp finish. It’s a simple, healthy beverage that serves as a revitalizing treat for three.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1/2 medium honeydew melon, de-seeded and cubed
  • 3 Persian cucumbers, roughly chopped
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 1 tbsp lime zest (about 1 medium lime)
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
  • Pinch of kosher salt
  • 2 cups water

Instructions

  1. Blend everything: Add all of the ingredients including honeydew melon, cucumbers, lime juice and zest, fresh mint leaves, kosher salt, and water to a high-speed blender. Blend on medium-high speed for about 2-3 minutes until the mixture turns frothy and well combined.
  2. Strain the mixture: Pour the blended cooler through a fine mesh sieve or nut milk bag into a bowl to remove pulp, resulting in a smooth, refreshing liquid.
  3. Store properly: Transfer the strained melon cooler into a glass jar or container and refrigerate. Consume within 3 days for optimal freshness and flavor.

Notes

  • For the best flavor, use ripe honeydew melon and fresh mint leaves.
  • Adjust the amount of water to make the cooler thicker or thinner according to preference.
  • The pinch of kosher salt enhances the natural sweetness and brightness of the melon and cucumber.
  • Keep refrigerated and consume within 3 days to ensure freshness.
  • Straining is optional if you prefer a pulpier texture.
