Ingredients
Scale
Main Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons dry ranch seasoning mix
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Burger Assembly
- 4 hamburger buns
- Lettuce leaves
- Tomato slices
- Red onion slices
- Ranch dressing (optional)
- Olive oil or nonstick spray for cooking
Instructions
- Mix the Patty Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, ranch seasoning mix, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined to avoid tough burgers.
- Shape the Patties: Divide the mixture evenly into 4 portions. Shape each portion into a round, flat patty about 3/4 inch thick.
- Prepare the Cooking Surface: Heat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Lightly brush or spray the surface with olive oil or nonstick spray to prevent sticking.
- Cook the Patties: Place the patties on the hot grill or skillet. Cook for 5–6 minutes per side, flipping once, until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and are cooked through.
- Toast the Buns: While the patties are cooking, toast the hamburger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster for extra flavor and crunch.
- Assemble the Burgers: Place each chicken patty on the bottom half of a bun. Top with lettuce, tomato slices, red onion slices, and a drizzle of ranch dressing if desired. Cover with the top bun.
- Serve: Serve the burgers warm with your favorite side dishes.

- For extra flavor, add cooked bacon or sliced avocado to your burgers.
- You can substitute ground turkey for chicken if preferred.
- To make this recipe gluten-free, use gluten-free hamburger buns.
- Do not overmix the meat mixture to keep burgers tender and juicy.
