Ingredients

Scale

Chicken

  • 2 pounds chicken breast
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Bang Bang Sauce

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Sliders & Garnish

  • 12 slider buns
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup cilantro leaves
  • 1/4 cup shredded carrots

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the chicken breasts.
  2. Prepare the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil, ensuring even coating.
  3. Season the Chicken: Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper on both sides of each chicken breast.
  4. Bake the Chicken: Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes until fully cooked and reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  5. Make Bang Bang Sauce: In a medium bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, rice vinegar, and honey until smooth and fully combined.
  6. Cool and Shred Chicken: Remove chicken from the oven and let it rest for about 5 minutes, then shred it into bite-sized pieces using two forks.
  7. Toss Chicken with Sauce: In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken with the prepared bang bang sauce, mixing until all the chicken is evenly coated.
  8. Prepare Sliders: Slice each slider bun in half, place the bottom halves on a serving platter.
  9. Assemble Sliders: Spoon a generous amount of saucy chicken on each bottom bun half. Top with chopped green onions, cilantro leaves, and shredded carrots.
  10. Serve: Place the top halves of the slider buns over the fillings, serve immediately, and enjoy the flavorful Bang Bang Chicken Sliders.

Notes

  • You can adjust the sriracha amount to control the heat level of the bang bang sauce.
  • If preferred, substitute slider buns with regular small buns or dinner rolls.
  • Leftover sliders can be refrigerated and eaten within 2 days but are best served fresh.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken reaches safe internal temperature for food safety.
  • For added crunch, consider adding thinly sliced cucumbers or pickled jalapeños as garnish.
